I don't own a home, but I do have to pay income taxes. Thanks for the reminder anyways!

Hard to believe that someone can own a home and not have at least $10K in the bank year round.

All I can say is what a rip... I just paid mine and feel like its almost not worth it to own a home right now in so. cal. I guess in the long run it is but renting an apartment is so much cheaper!

The way to go is if you can "aquire" a house from family and have their property tax pass to you, My step dad aquired his manhattan beach house from his mom and pay $700 or so per year of property tax for a 1.4 million $ house.

Be careful once that comes up on the county's radar they will require an audit of property evaluation and raise your taxes to current standards.

I had prior experience with this.

For some reason, mine are due 04-30-07.

I think it's because they made an adjustment.

They need to make more adjustments, they're charging me way too much!
