Unhappy ITR shift boot

hi guys. i had a question regarding the itr shift boot. anyone know how to make it fit on our cars? or if any places sell one that looks like it made to fit our cars? i would appreciate any kind of information.

btw, i do know that rick's sells the black leather with red stitching. but i think theirs is a little too steep. the regular itr shift boot goes for $30 and rick's is $45 with shipping. i know $15 difference. but still...

so does the itr boot fit directly on our cars or do you have to make the holes specially to fit?

DC5 ITR shift boots will work, you have to modify the hole clips underneath. Check out RickS2000 website under the installation section for boot replacement to get an idea.

edit: I meant DC2 because it seems wider for our console.

Just an idea what the JPM boot looks like, it was easy to install all holes were prepunched. PM Cyclon36 for JPM stuff. Still waiting for center console from HC groupbuy.

DC2 ITR shift boot will require cutting a good portion of it off, and also make new holes for it to fit correctly. You can use your OEM shift boot as a template. The ITR shift boot comes with a metal frame underneath...thats why it needs to be cut away.

DC5 R shift boot is connected to the center consul I believe so that won't work.
