Default Looking for some good night drives

So i recently moved down to la (dtla) from the bay area. The thing i missed the most were my (almost) nightly drives through the mountains. Tame, nothing too crazy (most of the time). I literally lived lived 5 minutes from grizzly peak which is a great drive. It can be as short as 2-3 miles (making the total trip less than 10 minutes) or as long as 20+. I miss going up for a drive, stopping at an observatory (lawrence lab), having a smoke, and driving back. Is anything like that available for me? Anybody down to hit up a late night cruise? (not a canyon carving race). detailed maps would be great. I would be willing to drive a little bit to get to these roads, and the less people on them the better

+1 on Angeles Crest. Nice drive, especially at night.

Careful with the 5-0 they're out there.

You can check out the Malibu canyons if you don't mind taking the 10 West to the beach. Definitely do Tuna Canyon Road.

Yeah there's definitely plenty of places to pull into for a view if you're in the Malibu canyon roads. Maybe some of the locals will chime in with more info. I haven't driven those canyons in a few years.
