Default Lowered with Springs Only?

Has anybody lowered their S with just springs? How bad of a decrease in handling did you feel? and ..im on a lease so i dont really care too much about my suspension. I want some decent springs that will keep the car in farely good condition till the lease is up ~ 2009. I just got the OEM front lip - so i dont think i wanna go very low, just enough to get rid of the gap .... maybe an inch... any suggestions on wut type of springs and also how low to go? Thanks in Advance.

Just because you lower with springs doesn't mean that you'll get a decrease in handling ability. I depends on how much you lower it and the spring rate.

I'm just on Neuspeed's with stock shocks and I've seen no problem with handling or ride smoothness (is that a word?). *knock on wood*

It's probably around a 1.75 inch drop.
