If you find someone, please let me know. I'm in the same area and I'm getting tired of taking my car places over an hour away only to have to double check / correct the tech's work or even worse, having to go back a second time. The shops I've dealt with so far have had little to no respect for my time and what it costs us to take our cars to them. Someone local for basic work that I could just do at home if I had the space would be wonderful.

After visitng a number of shops and living in Santa Monica, I decided to go to Tony and Mid-Valley and have been pretty comfortable with it. He knows what he's doing and is reasonably priced. You can take the PCH up Topanga to get there, which is a perk. He's also the closest reliable s2k mechanic I've found.

i agree with Sideways above, it's worth the trip to Tony Fuchs at Mid Valley in the SFV, he is the best mechanic on S2000's out there. My01 needed an engine rebuild at 187,000 and he handled the whole thing at a great price.
