Moving soon.. need Broadband.
i currently use pac bell dsl in my san gabriel house, will be moving to fullerton soon, and they raised their prices from $40/month to $50/month!!
i'm ready to try cable now, dsl is slow... any isp's that offer broadband for like $40 and has good connections/service in the area?

Fullerton was Comcast but I think it is now ATT Broadband or Aldelphia Cable. However, with the recent Comcast bid and acquisition of AT&T it might go back to Comcast. Good choice though for cable. Their speeds are far better than DSL even on a shared network. Up to 2 megs during morning and afternoon hours.

I'm satisfied with AT&T Broadband, and I think it's around $40 per month. When I signed up the modem was free, but I don't know if that's still true. The AT&T (formerly Mediaone) news server does not include a lot of newsgroups, and the retention is really poor, so if you're into that, you might need to purchase news server access from a third party. Other than that, the cable modem service is pretty good.
