Hello,
Does anyone here know of a good shop in the Orange County area that can do a decent clutch installation for an S2000 for less than $400? I had my last clutch replaced by Area 51 for something like $350; trying to find something similar to that since they were forced to shut down. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.
P.S. Do I have to buy a new throwout bearing and/or flywheel pilot bearing? I had my throwout bearing replaced when I had my first clutch installed 25k miles ago.

Damn, that's pretty strange.
You could give Michaelangelo's Motorwerks in Lake Forest a try. He specializes in mostly European cars, but he's pretty highly regarded in a lot of circles. Marcus from HeelToe and workers from other shops in the area can always be found at his place.
Worth a shot if you want to talk to a guy with some intense racing experience and good customer service.

Call Weslohe Honda, they install performance parts and I see no reason why they couldn't. I did not realize that we don't have many people around OC to do clutch work. I was looking into getting a LSD down the road installed, I guess I'll have ship my car back east

A1 Transmissions Service & Supply in Buena Park look after all kinds of interesting cars, from Mild to Wild. I am going to take mine there shortly.
The number is (714) 523-1132
He won't give you a price until he see's what needs doing. the only price he will give is if pretty much everything is shot, worst case.
It really depends on how long it's been slipping, false economy to drive on it. Your clutch only lasted 25k ? Yikes... Thats not much.

have you tried AUTOLINK http://www.autolinkmotorworks.com ? They're not in OC but Dr.Charles worls there and probably did your clutch at AREA 51. I've heard nothing but good things about them.
