Dude, u did nothing wrong. Go with what the majority of the replies here said. BUT in all honesty, ur gonna do what u want anyways. Regardless of what people tell you is best. I know the scenario too well. Just ask urself and be honest with urself on ur feelings for her. Its way beyond looks my friend. And to her, ur ex, all I have to say is WTF??? 
Are we back in High School or Jr High now? Next thing is, she gonna check ur voice messages or something?
