Default O2 sensor CEL, common problem/solution?

I'm just wondering if there is a common problem / solution to an O2 sensor CEL.

The shop that did it got the CEL and it was an 02 sensor. They checked the connections and sensors and the light went away - so I drove it home. Later that night (after sitting parked for a few hours) the light came back on, so I'm assuming it's the same O2 problem.

Problem is, shop is closed and during the week I can't take it in, so I'd have to drive on it like this for a week...

reset the ecu and if it comes on again, take it back to the shop
