Default Questions to all countrywide employees

What are you guys doing to plan for the inevitable?

I'll start: getting my paperwork ready and file for unemp. benefit when that day hits.

b of a deal is still on the table and according to their ceo, will remain on the table. i just doubt the fact that b of a will absorb all the current cfc employees and certain segments are more expandable than others.

on that note, is unemployeement benefit still good for 26wks plus 26 wk extension?

working 2x as hard keeping my operation running full-steam on less staff than ever before and working on the integration team planning for what things will look like post-merger.

inevitable? It's inevitable they'll keep the top performers and cut the bottom of the barrel. Not smart to bother integrating poor performers and a waste to not keep the top folks. Even the top x% in businesses that are going away will be retained and moved to other areas. Also, there's always the change in control severence packs to fall back on.

although going around saying it's inevitable may make it so...

I thought Bank of Americas profit falling 77% in one quarter was pretty major.

Nah, not when they were expecting a 70% drop.

That's why you only saw a 5% correction in the stock. The bulk of the writedown was already priced in.

I should have said something major that no one is expecting and that hasn't been planned for.

That sucks.. The feeling of being at a place, that you are not sure if you are going to be there the next day.

Walking around the office, paranoid that they are going to call you in next to lay you off

hearing your desk phone ring, and not sure if it is your boss calling you in to his office

Sad, sad time indeed. I will pray for you guys
