I had this done on my car a while back and I had mine done here:
B&M Exhaust and Converter Center
10622 Garden Grove Blvd.
Garden Grove, CA 92843
(714)537-8604
www.exhaustcenter.com
I had it done here because I read in another thread that someone else had there's done here. They charged $40 I believe it was. Someone suggested this in the other thread as well and I had it done; ask them to paint the newly welded areas with some high-temp paint to prevent rusting.

Anyone got this done at Valley Muffler? Where are they located now? I haven't been there since I took my CRX back in 97 to get an exhaust. Anyone have their phone number? Any other good muffler shops to get this done in the general La Verne, Pomona, West Covina area??

Well, I decided to get this done at Valley Muffler today. And I must say...the best $30 i've spent on my car besides gas and an oil change. I was in and out in about an hour(30 mins wait, 30 mins to remove resonator). There's definately a difference. There's a little bit of a deeper tone on cold start up but as soon as you get to idle, it sounds basically stock. Stays that way during cruising and below 3500 rpms(you still hear the engine more). However on acceleration, especially from 3500 rpms and above, you really hear the difference. It has a deep, mean growl to it. Not VERY loud, but noticably louder than stock. I think it should have came like this stock. There's no drone what so ever from what I've listened. The video clips of this mod does not do it justice. Sounds really good when you're actually driving it and not just revving it up. I almost can't wait for it to stop raining and dry up(as much as I love the idea of it snowing in the mountains) so I can hear how it sounds when VTEC hits. I wanted to try so bad on my way home but i figured with the rain and wet ground I didn't want to be stupid.

Not to be mr. poopy pants, but I just thought I'd share....
At a recent dyno day we had a few S2000's dyno.
3 of them were '05's with similar mileage on them.
1: Injen CAI, stock otherwise: 206.2hp / 144.7tq - me
2: Comptech CAI, stock otherwise: 200.6hp / 141.5 tq
3: AEM V2, removed resonator, stock otherwise: 196.6hp / 135.9tq
Since the injen and AEM are supposed to be similar in gains/loses. I'm not tempted to remove my resonator anymore if there is any chance that I'll lose almost 10hp by doing it.
oh and btw, the MY00 AP1 that dyno'd put out 195.7hp and 135.6 tq with his only mod being an Injen CAI as well.
I know they vary from the factory, but thats just too much of a difference on the same model year to make me comfortable.

The only way to know for sure is using the tried and true scientific method: Test, change one variable, then test again.
Without that, it's meaningless.
