If you are going to be in the Malibu area check out Malibu Inn. The Misses and I eat there all the time and it is great.

The Date Shack is on the ocean side has killer shakes and pretty decent sandwiches. Benches to watch the dolphins if your lucky. Squirrels are lurking about looking for hand outs. Plus the run from the stoplight to the shack is a great place to go triple digits. Enjoy.
