Lets just say $100 for cost of fluids.
If they charged you $2165 that means you paid $1065 in labor...guess people are willing to pay a premium for not doing some things themselves.
Hope that price includes all new nuts/bolts, honda urea grease, undercarriage pressure wash detail, warranty, and maybe a handjob. Either you paid list price on all those parts or you paid close to $200/hr on labor.
Maybe this is why shops ask their customers to not discuss prices but fu*k, something doesnt seem right. I hate doing clutches but sh*t for $1100 ill do them all day.
he also got stainless steel brake lines installed.

The average cost for labor on s2k clutch install varies, depending on how knowledgeable the mechanic is. For shops that know the S2k well, i've seen $350-450 for labor. For shops that need to reference the repair manual, i've seen them quote $800-1000 based on the amount of hours their book tells them. Just need to shop around.

This same thing happened to me. I installed an exedy oem replacement clutch kit w/oem friction disc and the clutch release bearing shredded to pieces within ~2k miles. I then did the ever popular oem+ upgrade (ap1 flywheel, ACT pp) with everything else oem. It's been going strong for 8k miles now. I hope it stays that way.
