I heard about this on CNBC and they were saying that some bank probably made this guy take the fall for them. They said that the bank was using this guy as a scapegoat because blaming a $7.2 billion loss on him was BS.
It makes sense considering the bank should have known something was wrong and would have caught on to this when they lost the first $1 billion.
