Default speeding ticket?

I do not need a lecture! I am well aware of how stupid and unsafe what I did was! I got my first Ca. speeding ticket this weekend and it was really bad, +120 on the highyway. Does anyone have any idea what I should expect from the courts? Can I take a driving class and get this reduced?

Wow, sorry to hear that. In California, over 100 is reckless driving and you can not go to traffic school. Mandatory court appearance. So, did they clock you, time you, or radar? I had a similar experience last year...125+ and saw the damn radar on the side if the highway. I braked real hard and got nailed for 78.

Sorry to hear about the ticket. Which freeway were you on???

Over 100 is definitely reckless driving. Get a good lawyer to help reduce the penalty. I don't think they'll allow you to go to traffic school for this one, although at the last traffic school I was in, there was a guy there that was caught for speeding. He didn't know how fast he was going, since they had to bring in the plane to catch him. I think he was on the way to Vegas.
