i think it looks cool and i will watch it opening night.
i think comparing it to transformers is a bit much...
transformers was major fail for so many reasons, but the biggest one being that they were all GMs

Take a look at the style filming... it's EXACTLY Transformers style. It's honestly SO much like it, me and my girl both turned and said the EXACT same thing at the same time.
Honestly, I could end up liking it anyways because it could turn out half good. HOWEVER, I'm always going to be thinking...here comes another Optimus Prime fight scene. Hopefully they do a fantastic time with the plot, that's really the make or break here, not if the cinematography is a rip off or not.
I know James Cameron isn't a fan of #4.
There's a reason he left it at #2.

Jame's Camerons right hand man is Vice President of Light Storm Entertainment soooo I get the inside line on such things 
Honestly when I think of 3 I think of the chick's boobs growing as she takes that SC430.
