Tinted Windows Citation?
Well, I just got a ticket from the CHP on the freeway.
Anyone have any experience dealing with tinted windows tickets?
Is there anyway to avoid taking down the tint??
My Tint is not even dark, just the June gloom didn't have enough sun light.
Thanks for the help!

Well, first of all its illegal by law to have tints on driver and front passenger windows
If you dont want to take them down,
Simply pay the fine which should be around 120-200 USD
Or
Find a officer friend who can sign it off
Here are your options

Any Officer here want to be my friend?
Just kidding.
I got the yellow ticket. It didnt state the fine amount. Do I wait for the letter in the mail? or I have to go to the court and find out about the fine?
Thanks again.

Yes you will get a notification from court which will clearly state that if you fix the citation before a certain date it will be $0 ( yes 0 dollars because CHP tickets are processed different then regular city or county officers) but if you do not fix it it ill be around 120-200 (depending on the court and county).
hypothetically :
you got the yellow ticket on june 5th
you get the court notification june 25th
you have to fix it before aug 25th for no fees to be paid to government
or you have to pay the due amount aug 25th
if you dont do this until the stated date, additional late fees will come on top of it and will be around $400-500
ASK ME HOW I KNOW IT!!!!
i got a fix ticket from a CHP for not having license plate on the front
didnt fix, didnt pay and it ended up being $505
so take an action when the notification comes

yeah now the judges can't even waive the failure to appear fee even if you have a good excuse, the only excuses that are accepted are being away if you're in the military or if you're in the hospital
