Default Tire question

Sorry i tried searching but can't find a thread that specifically talk about my concerns. hoping, someone can help out

my stock s02's rear are gone, found the same tire at tirerack for 180 each. Then noticed there's a RE050A closeout for only 80$, looked at the ratings and it seems to be close with the oem tire. Can i put this on the rear with the s02 up front or is this st*p*d ? also anyone that can point me to a local tire store is appreciated. tnx guys.

Most of us go to Arnel at America's Discount Tire store in Carson for all our tire needs. He may be able to direct you. Personally I'm running Hankook's RS2's and love them.

That's b/c you used "General tires" Those are not even close to specs

Might as well switch all four to the RE050A's

i agree....but if you have some good tread left on the fronts, then I'd just replace the rears.

I will never mix tires on my S2000. All the same type front and back. Tried it once for a day and the car acted possesed. It didn't even feel right in a straight line. Went back and got all S-02s put on.

I mixed one time and my car would slide around on the freeway doing 60-70mph. Not a good thing to do.

I'm currently mixed right now. Let's just say I'm enjoying the rain though
