Track driving schools in Socal?
Are there any track driving schools in Socal?
I'm looking for something where I can get my S on a track and essentially be taught how to drive it to the max while being safe. A combo of instructer time and alone driving time would be awesome.
Thanks!

Or you can go to www.buttonwillowraceway.com, click on performance driving clinic and check out their dates and info. IMO, just go to as many trackdays as possible and learn from instructors or experienced drivers. If you can shell out couple grand, Skip Barber and there's another one I forgot the name, you can look it up.

I did this one:
http://www.raceschool.com/newsite/own_car.html
It was $475 for a full day of instruction which included a lot of time on the track. I was tired of driving by the end. And the instuctors will sit in your car with you to give pointers while you're on the track if you ask them to.
You also spend some time on the skid pad and spin out your car and learn to do 180's forward and reverse... though they bring out their own automatic for the latter. Still, it was pretty fun.
I was a complete noob to track racing (still am), but I learned a lot. The whole experience was a blast.

Usually 120-200 bucks depending on track.
It's a blast and I prefer speedventures since you can always grab an advanced person to help you if you feel like you're lost. ($0)
