< Want to Organize a meet
Hey guys I frequent the Irvine K1 indoor Karting Facility and actually hold a current ranking of 39 of 60,000+
I think it is an awesome place to hang out, burn off some frustration, and learn the basic fundamentals of organized race driving.
I would like to put something together for the near future, say sometime in august. I have a pretty good relationship with the managers and a couple other IP's with the company.
I want to do a Le Mans style endurance race which consists of the following:
12 Lap Practice
14 Lap Qualifier 1
14 Lap Qualifier 2
16 Lap Position Race with no Elimination.
It costs $80 per person to run the race with top 3 drivers winning trophies. I was thinking maybe if we could 25 -30 people to participate paying $100 ea we might be able to get a little purse going for the top 3 finishers as well.
with the extra $20 per entrant purse $$ would be $500 for 25 drivers and $600 for 30. the more the marrier.
Split would go as follows.
1st - Trophy + $350 + I will get a couple comp. track sessions from management - $40 Value
2nd - Trophy + $100
3rd - Trophy + $50
I don't work for the company, but I have fallen in love with F1 racing and its humble beginnings in the world of Karting...I know many of you track your road cars and would really enjoy this experience. Though it seems like a simple thing it does take skill to be the fastest...
I would like to start a list the more people the better. If we get enough participation maybe we can book the whole facility and have management combine the two tracks.
Lets get a list going and see what happens

You know only a few months ago, we got 40 S2000 to go K1... and now.. we're all broke
we do need part 2. ninja is still champion..
