Default Windshield crack repair

I got a small circular crack on my windshield and i heard that you can get some professional repair with silicone for around $100 that can pretty much fix it. Anyone got any feed back on this?

took it to a local windshield repair shop and he injected some kind of resin into the crack.. it was about a 50% improvement.
