Default Which would you buy?

looking to get my teenage sister a camera for the holidays. i think i've got it narrowed down, but i'd like to hear what you all think. here's the list: nikon coolpix 4600, canon PowerShot A410, PowerShot A410, fuji finepix e500, olympus fe-100, olympus d 454. yea its kind of a long list, but feel free to add some if you feel they're relevant. she's no photographer and will probably use it mostly for party pics with friends and such. thanks in advance

If you are going to buy a small point and shoot camera, I'd look into the Canon SD 400, SD 450 or SD 500. The camera is smaller and easier to carry around than the ones you listed. The megapixels are 5.1 to 7.1 on these cameras. Costco carries the SD 400 for $260.

Also look at the Casio Exilim series - excellent quality and directly comparable to the Canon SD series, but for less money because you aren't paying for the Canon name.

I have the SD320 and love it, you don't need more than 3.2 megapixels unless you plan on making huge prints. Most people don't even print them out, and a 3.2 will make excellent 8x10s if you ever go that large.

$169 at Amazon.com shipped and No tax for Cali

If you want something with more megapixels

Dell Small Business has the Canon SD400 5MP Digital Camera for $249 - $25 off $150 coupon NSRBV7T5Q7$R3C = $224 w/ free shipping. Search for A0550683 to find it.

Another option is to add the 512MB SD Card and apply $50 off $300 coupon ZPT2BGSTH27D6 to get both for $248.

Taken directly from Slickdeals.net, I hate paying too much for electronics.

thanks estukaye. i couldnt find the sd320 at amazon, but i did find the sd200 for a great price. would it be a dumb move to go with the sd200? it fits the budget with money to spare on memory.

thanks to everyone else who has contributed their thoughts. this has made my shopping a little bit easier. happy holidays to all
