Thumbs up 02 919, super clean, $4k - thoughts?

http://www.wristtwisters.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=16792

What are people's thoughts on this bike - spotless condition, I'm thinking of buying, but not fan of the D&D pipes and I don't need the Garmin. Is $4k fair price?

I have no personal experience with the 919 but it's a honda with < 5000 miles. Just been serviced and that clean? I'd pick it up if I had the money laying around! Make sure the titles clean!

He's got the stock pipes i'm sure you could throw back on under an hour. Ask him to keep the garmin and offer him $3800.

The dealer/mechanic in that thread even said that was a good buy.

If he's true to his word (selling because of financial issues, not mechanical problems)... I say go for it. assuming clean title of course

Probably the nicest 919 I have ever seen. However, it is overpriced. I paid 4000 for my 04 919 over 2 years ago. It had 2200 miles on it when I bought it.

Did you buy it stock? I see clean stock 919s (and some beaters) typically going for $3-4k today, depending on where they are.

The bike was stock. But as far as I am concerned and most people, aftermarket parts add little to nothing to the price. I would imagine most people prefer to buy a stock bike if they are buying used. But that is a nice looking 919 though. Very tastefully customized.
