I agree with VTEC_Junkie. To me it has been down hill for the eclipse since the second generation ended in what was it...'99? This version IMHO is completly uninspiring. And what is up with the side windows? Looks like they sit inward an inch from the others on each side. And then the side mirrors , WTF?

 

i still have to say...its pretty damn ugly to me.

 

Having never really been an Eclipse fan, I think this one is the best looking one ever. The tail has a 911 feel to it, and the front is tC-ish. I think they'll sell as many of them as they have been over the last few years.

 

no doubt it will be a successful seller, as long as they price it right. although most of the ones sold will be the 4 banger variant.

 

i think mitsubishi thinks they have a 350Z/G35/RX8/Mustang competitor.

Sorry, with FWD along with a likely open differential will mean this car won't be in that class.

Has anyone read something thats says the new Eclipse will be FWD? Nothing in the press material I've read has said it will be FWD, but I guess we can assume so.

The front shot is UGLY!!

After owning two 2nd gens..... I quit DSM after the freaking ugly 3rd gen came out.

 

Looks okay from a side profile but otherwise it's ugly. Sorry. I'm with those that say it's gone downhill since two models ago.
