Have ridden shotgun in a buddy's '06 SRT10 Coupe during hard 30 minute session at the track and then driving it last night in several highway races against a modded C6, I have quite a bit of respect for the new Vipers.

Add 90hp and fix a few of the minor issues and you have a evening weekend/cruiser, and an absolute track monster in the new '08. I wouldn't daily drive it like I would a Z06, but for a fun car, this new '08 Viper is going to be an absolute beast.

on the vs Z06 debate - some reviewers actualy found the new Viper to be less of a handfull than the Z06, so...

and yeah, this is VERY cool

 

I wish they'd spend just another few thousand bucks on making the interior a little better... just too cheap plasticky stuff, the kind that gets all european car writers eager to put down the viper and Z06 coz it's such a good excuse to go on a bashing spree :\

 

I'd go with a Viper over a C6Z06 any day. It doesn't look like anything else out there, which, if I'm spending $90k on, is something that matters to me.

And this should make the decision that much easier. Not that I'll be in that position anytime soon

 

sweet car but i agree that the interior should not be overlooked once again.

 

the coupe is a lot sexier looking than the ragtop. looks mean overall though.
