1/4 Mile Times for 06' WRX
I love WRXs! Great numbers thanks to the revised tranny and 2.5L motor. Need to ax that TD04 turbo still.
"Here are my times running my stock 06 wrx:
reaction: .109
60': 1.998
330: 5.764
1/8: 8.877 @ 79.744 mph
1/4: 13.815 @ 100.246
I only made two runs and the first was 13.9 @ 98 mph. I had a bad launch both times as I didn't even break traction. My 60' time should be in the high 1.7 - low 1.8. This was on a full tank of 91 octane, bone stock, 50 degrees outside in arizona with my girlfriend in the car."
Pretty good conditions I'd say. Arizona is low elevation with low humidity. However, the GF in the car would negate the good conditions (depending on how desperate this guy is ). The WRX will also make more power on 93 octane. I'd expect some 1.7-1.8s with the new stronger transmission and shorter gearing. This car will probably run as low as 13.5 given ideal conditions. Traps will probably range between 97-102MPH. About on par with the S2000.

Wow those are great times!
When I save up some more dough I plan to get a WRX for times when mother nature decides the S shouldn't be so fun.
For what it's worth, after seeing the new WRX and STi in person, I without a doubt think this is by far the best looking model yet.

i would say those numbers are startling... i wouldn't give 50 degree ambient temps and low humidity enough props to negate those stats....
NICE. I really should test drive one of these blown boogers... WRX/EVO. I've never touched a one... I've shopped, but never turned a key...

I think the 06 facia looks sleeker and more agressive - more fitting for a serious sport sedan.
The 06 tail lamps however: Ugly.
