Well the decision is you have to make a decision between the NSX and E46. Keeping the E36 should not be an option as it is ugly IMO.

I'd go NSX. Looks better IMO, and of course like I always say: anything can be made to go fast.

NSX. It's more unique. I see a bunch of M3's where I live. Plus, it'll be more reliable in the long run.

Based on what you wrote, I say go with the NSX. I have an E46 M3 and I love it but since you're looking for a weekend car, I'd definitely go with the NSX.

My 02 NSX is my daily driver and I ADORE it. My wife does have a minivan (not so mini these days) that I can turn to if needed though.

u got beater and no kids? buy nsx.

if owning 2 cars too burdensome (insurance, space), consolidate by getting m3.

The NSX has such huge overhangs, it just screams "I love the 80s." Look at the pic of the yellow one above. If you remodeled the body to be close to the wheel arches, the car would be 1/3 shorter overall. I know most of you guys love the NSX, but those overhangs remind me of a Pontiac Trans-Am. Get the M3.
