It might also be a good idea to master the basics of normal riding before getting into stunting...

I just recently purchased a 06 599 and would reccomend it as a first bike, all my friends have sportbikes, I just always liked the look of a naked bike, the comfort helps too.
As far as riding, I had never riden a motorcycle before the day I jumped on mine at the dealer two weeks ago, I rode it around the parking lot a few times that day, had a friend bring it home, than rode some more around some deserted industrial areas, the next day I was on the highway...still haven't done over 80 though...300 miles on the bike already.

I owned an 02 F4i and have ridden the other, the f4i is less powerfull and probably handles a HAIR sloppier than the r6, but I rode my bike everyday, and it was my first.
That being said, the F4i is GREAT if you're not a veteran rider, it will make up for some extra driver error that the R6 won't.
The F4i is a great riding bike and I would suggest them ALL DAY LONG!

my first bike and still is my current ride is an 02 f4i also. I must say its an amazing machine. I like it alot cuz its comfortable and rides smooth. Its very forgiving and rider friendly as well. my 2 other friends have an f4i as well. I wouldnt change it yet. Its been a year and i have no reason or urge to upgrade. to me its alot of power still and alot of fun. just my 2 cents
