Damn y'all! I was perfectly happy w/ my track-prepped S2000, but could only read so much of all this Corvette love w/o dipping my toe into the water. Checked out an '04 Commemorative edition yesterday, then an '08 Z51. Today I checked out a cherry '02 Electron Blue Z06 w/ 29k miles, followed by a highly modded '04 whose prior owner(s) should be arrested for how badly that car was cared for.

The C6 was nice, and would make a great street toy, but the 02 Z06 is the one that I fell for. I just made an offer on it, we're a little bit apart but the seller will sleep on it and get back w/ me tomorrow. Anyone looking for a nice '08 S2000?

Nice!

I wish I could add an s2k to my garage along with the Vette, really miss that car. My Vette is actually an 08 Z51 and it's a blast to drive and relatively comfy for DD duty. The C5Z would make a great track toy, hopefully you'll bring her home soon!

Have not had any issues with the car.GM fit & finish is not the same as Honda, but the drive train is solid & reliable.IMO,2 types of people own Corvettes & S2K's....folks who drive & take care of them and folks who constantly beat on them.

It's tuff to find an un-molested either.I've driven the car 40k in 7 years.Has 70k on it.

Welcome to the subversive s2ki corvette club. I agree w redline... the leather is cheap in the Vette, obviously the trim is cheap (I don't mind how it looks, pure function guy here) but who buys sports cars for interiors or body panel figment? I bought my 03 c5z for the ls6, tremec 6 speed, huge syaggered width/radius wheels and thick ass diff!

Just got off the phone w/ my insurance agent. Replacing the S2000 w/ the Z06 I'm eyeing will cost me a whopping $28/year in higher premiums.
