Its funny because I just watched jay lenos garage where he looked at the 13' boss 302. Hands down the best mustang ever built, I'd take it night and day over any cobra. I don't know if they upgraded the trans on the boss but if it is at all like the GTs 6 speed stay away!

Haha yeah I watched that as well as a lot of other videos. Seems really nice! Not a fan of seating position and how high up the good is. Feels like I'm in a truck. That is the regular 5.0. Haven't been in a boss 302 yet though.

My Boss has the Recaros which have height adjustment. For sure the car feels bigger than an S2000, but like all good handling cars, it seems to shrink as you go faster.

I got to take a few laps in a student's Boss 302 at a local trap, and I was very impressed. It hauled ass, cornered well, and provided an aural symphony. Bit more than I want to invest in a track car, otherwise I'd have one.

They are expensive! I'd imagine it is easy to buy a non boss 5.0 and do some suspension work and a few bolt ons to bet similar results for less money?

^^^ That seems to be a pretty common thought, though I suspect that Boss total cost of value might end up lower once resale value is considered.

Ya and then your just another mustang owner with mods to boot! Gotta go with the legendary name plate. P.s. like you saw modd, the 2.5hr port and polish alone would cost a nice chunk!

The boss also has forged internals, although the internals of the coyotes I'm not overly worried about. The trans issues seems not really be an issue either.

EVO outhandles a TTRS stock vs stock. The ttrs has a garbage Haldex awd system with fwdesque understeer. EVO X has one of the best awd systems around next to the GTR.
Nice! I need to test drive an evo X. The look has been growing on me!

Evo X is fantastic once modded. Just light bolt-ons + tune = 330-350 whp, E85 tune = 370-390 whp/380-400 wtq... stock turbo. Those things spool like 380+ wtq at 3200 RPM on stock turbo on E85.

The steering combined the quickness of an AP1 w/ the feel of a Porsche. Unfortunately, my gf at the time (now my wife) was really against it based on the looks. A X would prob. be more do-able since they look a lot nicer IMO.

Evo 8's and 9's come with understeer-oriented rear diffs from the factory for USDM. They don't have the power-slide, tail-happy diffs of the UK and JDM Evo's. HOWEVER... for under $500 you can mod the Evo's rear diff for RWD-esque oversteer and power sliding. Mine is modded BTW... so much fun. Evo X can oversteer from the factory thanks to S-AYC and oversteer ready rear diff.

See above. They also gain 4-6 MPG once tuned btw. You can avg 22-24 mpg on 91/93 tuned in an X.

As long as your tuner keeps the torque down, you can handle 350 wtq on DCT. I have heard some people modded it to handle 450 wtq. But yeah that trans isn't nearly as good as a solid 5 speed.

5 speed manual is what you'd want for sure, handles 500-600+ whp easily.

driver matters most and i've never met anyone that owns a TT that could drive for shit.
You don't take into account new transmission technology with a simple "D" function or one of multiple pre-programmed computer settings that can all shift better than any human with the best 3-pedal manual. These new dual-clutch transmissions deliver power seamlessly and without interruption and are far "smarter" than you or I; Why do you think it clocks 100km (62mph) in 3.6s with "only" 335bhp? AWD + a smart transmission that's geared perfectly for the car and power output. Show me an Evo, STI, base C6 or C5Z that can do that bone stock, in nearly any weather, consistently and repeatedly with the "average" driver at the helm. Not happening. I can post documented stock numbers for all these cars: C/D TEST RESULTS: TT-RSZero to 60 mph: 3.6 secZero to 100 mph: 9.3 secZero to 130 mph: 17.0 secStreet start, 5–60 mph: 5.2 secStanding ¼-mile: 12.1 sec @ 113 mphTop speed (governor limited): 155 mphBraking, 70–0 mph: 161 ftRoadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.95 gOnly limitation against the follow cars is top speed (governed). And the grip is within a small margin of one another between the following cars, skidpad and slalom:C/D Quote C5Z:Our test car's engine, with just 1400 miles on it, accelerated to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds and covered the quarter-mile in 12.7 seconds at 113 mph. That makes this Z06 half a second quicker than the fastest C5 we've ever tested and quicker than the ZR-1 model that ruled the Corvette roost from 1990 to 1995. Among remotely affordable cars, only the Dodge Viper GTS is quicker.Winner: TTC/D Quote, C6 LS3 (08'):The new Vette runs from 0 to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds and clears the quarter-mile in 12.4 seconds at 116 mph, compared with 4.3 seconds and 12.8 seconds at 109 mph for the 911.Winner: TTI don't even need to mention the EVO or STI, and a C6Z only pulls away from it up top and not by a huge margin.Numbers don't lie, and the people talking shit about lesser cars (the ones mentioned in the last few pages) beating a TT-RS show just how much they (don't) know about current cars. Yes, the car is overpriced. So are a LOT of others. And I don't even like the TT-RS.
[/quote]

Here comes someone that hasn't driven ANY of these cars and reads magazine numbers like they're the Bible. A stock Evo X will own a TTRS on track, end of story. Do less than $2k in mods on Evo X and it'll have 50-80 whp more than a TT RS LOL. It's $25k less from the factory BTW.
