Default 2003 Acura CL Type S 6 SPEED!

My friend just picked one up!!! With only 45000 miles!

I must say the car is the best front wheel drive car I've ever driven. It was so composed even in corners with those shitty Michelin MXM4's. The transmission is geared perfectly and so is the interior...

What are your inputs?

He paid 10,3 car is Nighthawk black with Black leather and Navigation (one of only 85 made)

One owner car and a 65 year old at that! The timing belt needs to be replaced (7 years old) and other then that the car is flawless! They even threw in free headlights cause the old ones where hazed up from the age.

Anything else besides the regular fluid flush I should do? I checked the engine bay and everything seems 100%... even has that ugly battery cover that most owners removed.

This guy in my area had one for sale for 13k with 80K miles. My friend and I test drove it when he was car shopping. It was a very nice car and my friend was just about to pull the trigger and the guy sold it to someone else literally minutes before my friend was on the way with the cash.

It looks a bit vanilla to me but the power and torque was nice and it was very cushy. The 6 speeds are extremely rare.

Gotta love a perfectly-geared interior.

I really like the '03 manual but they are so hard to find and they are starting to look dated. The '04+ manual TL is similar and is much better looking IMO.

Lol! yes the interior is GEARED perfectly it was late and I had one too many! We're picking it up at 3 and we have either decided to buy the parts at the dealer "at cost price" which included the timing belt, tensioner, seals and water pump or just have them do everything for 700 dollars.

Same with this car Presto123... The internet sales manager wasn't putting it online because he wanted it for his brother in law. My friend had seen is before he had and put a deposit on it already and he offered us out of his pocket another 1000 over but I was very much against it. Honestly, the car has 45K miles and the only maintenance needed is Timing belt and WP. Other then that the car is a gem and he plans on keeping it forever.

My brother had a 2000 GS-R with a little bit of work done and a great deal of suspension mods... I personally think there is nothing like the pull and feel of a belt driven smooth V6 with a tranny to match.

I had a V6 6MT Accord, which is the same engine / trans but without an LSD. I liked the power of that motor, but it handled like a barge. It sounds like he good a good price

I had one of these when I first moved to CA, but it was an auto, couldn't find a manual (your friend is lucky!). It was comfortable and peppy.
