I've seen SI's selling for about $22.5k and up in my area. Pretty popular cars right now.

Thanks for all the advice!
Crazy. You sure as heck can't get a 2004 S2000 for $24.5K where I live...

You guys in San Fran and San Diego alike should really buy cars from out-of-state dealers. You would save a bundle.

In that case you should consider the cost of the flight to Boston, the gas you're going to use to drive back, the wear and tear on the car and the hotel cost into the purchase price of the S2000.

You should also consider the fact that a Boston based S2000 most likely saw snow, salt, sand and the associated rock chips, interior wear, etc during the winters in Boston.

That and the fact that when it comes to sell, anyone who does a CarFax will see that the vehicle is not from California, which may deter certain buyers....

You just need to get out of the cities around here. . .
If you live in CA and don't know Blair Morrow - that's your problem

I'm only planning to buy a car in boston and drive it to LA because I live in Boston and plan to move to LA in the summer...always wanted to drive across the country.

And very good point about the bad environmental conditions in new england. i'm hoping to score a car from someone that keeps it in the garage all winter and is sick of doing it.

I need to see if buying an out of state s2k poses any emission standards problems for registering it in CA.

wow, just bought my s2000 06 several days ago for 33,500 , and made them throw in the $1000 Max Guard clear coat, and interior treament free. 22k for a 04! DAMN, thats unheard of around here!

For the guy asking about the 06 si and s2000... a civic, will always be just a civic, in my book. If u want the good things in life, get an s2k. Its everything a civic isn't; swear!
