Default 2004 S2000 or 2006 Civic Si?

So which would you recommend I buy? A used 2004 S2000 or new 2006 Civic Si? The s2k is about $2k more. This is going to be my everyday car in Los Angeles.

Thoughts? Thanks!

either is good. Do you want rear seats? Do you want a vert? Do you want RWD or FWD?

My vote is for the S2000.

the S2000 is substantially faster, almost a second 0-60 and quarter mile.

If you need a back seat, get the Si. The S2000 will likely depreciate slower as it is 2 years old and depreciation is always at a declining rate as time goes on.

I currently don't need back seats since it's just me and my wife. I figure when we have kids, we can throw them into her SUV.

I don't care much about depreciation since I plan to drive either car until it dies.

Does the s2k drive THAT much better than the Si? I'm having a tough time doing a real comparison in Boston in the Winter (planning move to CA and drive the car across the country)

I'm leaning towards an s2k, but the practical side of me says that I can get almost all the fun of the s2k, along with practicality, if I get the civic.

Keep those comments coming! Thanks!

If you have driven both and have to ask, buy the civic.
