Just make sure there's a warranty of some sort (like a CPO) for the BMW or it will bury you if you need service.

I can't believe anyone is suggesting the BMW over the V... Wow. To each his own, but I would get the V for the performance edge. Quite a visceral and entertaining drive over a 330i. Nice ride, but not comparable really.

Hmm. Well, if this is a second car, I take back my choice. I would suggest the 330i just to give yourself a more comfy cruiser. The V is almost as hardcore as DD'ng an Ap1.

its his second car.. i think the S is the fun factor and the beamer would be the DD cruiser

Since the S stays I vote BMW. Looks, fit and finish, etc. I would look for a MT though.
