2006 VW Jetta
i test drove one a month ago, i liked the fit and finnish, and the car over all, but after adding a sun roof i was able to get an rsx for less money. Nice car and all. just a little overpriced for what it is imo
I bought a Jetta couple of months ago. I like everything except the trunk, the power was decent and I used as my daily driver. The interior is better than I expected, the sunroof is opens with one touch. I missed having a cloth interior since all my other cars come with leather. I gave the Jetta to my mom cuz she just learned how to drive and needed a car, yep she was tired of asking me and my brother and dad to take her around so she decided to learn how to drive
, now she goes to the supermarket and drives my nephew to school by herself.

Hyun83,
Let me get this straight. They bought her a $24k car instead of a $27k car (TSX) so they could avoid the IRS scrutiny AFTER THEY bought a 2.1M house, new furniture, and two other new cars? Right....like that'll help.
If that was really their logic, then they might as well kiss their a**es goodbye because they're too stupid for their own good.
Back on topic, what is up with that 2.5 motor in the Jetta? It seems like a total piece compared to the 2.0T motor. Thoughts?

I'm sure that they are so "stupid," to be able to make enough money to purchase such things. Also, I dont know the exact reasoning behind their reasoning but you arent in any position to judge someones financial decision.[do you make that much money? are you an FA?] If anything, maybe they were thinking that she should buy her own car after she graduates college, a nicer one at least.
Anyways, this wasnt the reason for the thread. I wasnt expecting you to criticize someone elses personal expenses. I just layed out the foundation so you would understand why the other purchase wasnt made. Hey, no hard feelings if you are having such a bad day

Because they just purchase a 2.1 million dollar house, new furniture, and 2 other brand new cars. Like I said earlier, they do not want to be innundated with all the taxes. Obiviously they dont put all of their total income on 1040 form.
I know that statement sounded like an oxymoron statement, but I hope that clears it up.

Or maybe the $400 difference (8% of $25K vs. 8% of $20K) allowed them pick up those end tables from Art Van.
