Default 2007 Civic Type-R

I dont know if this has been discussed before but here it is:

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drive...rticleId=119780

Im dissapointed honestly. I love the hatch design itself and even the interior. But, A trailing arm rear suspension in a Type-R? Also "only 198hp", Why didnt honda Improve the K20A that was making 220hp? or at least keep that engine? I know this is just ONE car review and the writer mistakenly said the US civic Si doesnt have a LSD, but nevertheless.

Does anyone have any specs on the JDM Civic Type-R? Has it even been released yet?

Your thoughts?

Call me crazy, but I like it.
It's a nice looking hatch, and I'd love to own one as a DD.
wish they offered it in the US.

I think he said the US Si had LSD, but this Euro Type R didn't.

I guess I don't feel that we are missing too much compared to the europeans. We get a Civic Si coupe that packs the same horsepower, fully independent rear suspension, and a LSD.

The JDM version probably has the K20 making 220hp. Sometimes Europe gets gipped too (although, rarely as bad as the US).

I like it but I love hatches. I always get pissed that Europe gets the cars I like and it's not the grass is greener syndrome either. I liked the EP type R as well but this one won't reach our shores either

LSD, IRS > No LSD, beam axle rear suspension
Civic Si > UK built Civic Type R

The Type-R in Japan is a cross between our Si' sedan and the RSX

I like the Euro car too, but I think we're getting the better of the two cars, if this Euro hatch is as problematic as this writer suggests. Ours doesn't look as good, but it'll be more acceptable as a DD.

Yeah I think the Euro Type-R looks great, its too bad it doesn't live up to its name.

first i hated this car,
but i saw this car in person during my recent trip to spain-
now i love it.

boy- racer car, just another honda, well- balanced sporty fwd car... however you call it,
it's perfect for what it is.
