I was fully expecting to click this link and see yet another post describing a rice boy's wet dream. But I have to say that wouldn't be a bad idea at all!

I don't see Honda introducing another econobox two-seater any time soon--as neat an idea as I think the Del Sol was. American demographics and buying habits just wouldn't make it worth their while.

Heck, even the forthcoming subcompact Fit will have space for five.

I think they both look sharp, except for that uh...aerodynamic downforce device. Even that isn't so bad, I just think the center oriented mounting posts look ricey.

Great job Popeye! If they make one that looks like that and handles like a Cooper S with 175 to 190hp I'd buy it in a heartbeat. That's what I want a new CRX to look like!

as long as it will beat an SRT-4 around a race track i think they'd have an awesome ad-campaign for it. hp isn't honda's thing, handling is. if they could build a crx that would outrun an SRT-4 on an actual racetrack, then i'd think they could sway a lot of buyers.

btw, the photoshop of the CRX looks great. HONDA, ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION?!

The first and second generation CRXs did quite well in the US. The Del Sol didn't sell as well because it was an overweight, underpowered POS chick car (no offense ladies).

A smaller, lighter version of the current Civic Si hatch (preferably better looking, too) would do well here. A lot of people want good performance but can't afford the SRT4 or WRX.
