From the top view, it looks like someone cut the front end off of a new Beetle and welded it to the back of a new Eclipse. Weird.

Interesting lines on the car. The sholder rises and just keeps rising. They will sell many that's for sure. There is a lot of sheet metal above the rear tire as well.

Say what you will, but if it were RWD it would be a pretty cool car. It would compete with the 350Z very well.

FWD with all that power and weight is just laughable, though. Using a SUV platform just doesn't seem right for a "sports" coupe.

I think that the vert looks waaaayyyy better than the coupe. The vert is not bad looking IMHO.

Oh, my memory was a little off, but still, 101 mph trap speed is as good or faster than S2000's. Being FWD, it probably has a hard time with the launch, hence slower e.t., but it has power.

I like the new Eclipse much better than the last gen.

C&D isn't going to drive the car for max fuel economy. I can drive the S2000 aggressively and get 15 mpg too...utterly shameful for a 2.2l 4 cyl.
