I heard that the company is forbiding the dealer to mark up the price of the GTR. So they have to sell it at MSRP price otherwise they take the GTR away from that dealer or something.

i kind of doubt this..... what that would basically do is let anyone near the top of the list to buy it, then sell it for $10-20-30k profit themselves instead of the dealership.....

I won't pay above msrp, but it does make sense for dealers to do that considering an individual is just going to resell it for more $....

If Nissan HQ pulls that, and doesn't let the dealers mark it up, then they just earned some serious respect from me. I'll look at that company a little differently and consider them for a future purchase.

Edit: Went and looked up the info.

As I read the list, there were almost none, or actually none. But some less than $10K.

Yeah it seems the people getting MSRP aren't being vocal. I guarantee it's something to the effect of a contract/deposit for the car and one of the stipulations is that you can't run around and run your mouth. I understand that too. The people lucky enough to get a deposit in @ MSRP aren't going to say shit, I wouldn't. One guy was smart enough to get a Notarized copy of the the agreement of his dealer to sell at MSRP.

68,950 starting, btw.

What Nissan is doing, IIRC is removing the warranty should the car be "re-sold" within a year, to help fight markups.
