I was working a valet shift last night (new years party) at this club when all of a sudden I see this CTS with a bulging hood. I didn't think that the '09 had hit the showrooms yet so it was a definite double take. As soon as I realized that this was no regular CTS, I screamed "shot-gun parking the CTS-V" . The exhaust note is deep and definitely lets others know that this things got something special under the hood. The interior is also gorgeous, I had been parking 5-series and e-classes all night and the CTS-V's interior just pops out much more. I also love the use of alcantera in a lot of places. Unfortunately, I didn't get to drive it for more than 100 yards since they wanted the CTS-V VIP'd in the front of the club since it belonged to some Falcon's player.
I saw a CTS-V in front of the Cadillac dealer the other night and if I had noticed it earlier, I would have stopped in for a peek. It looked really sharp... I was bummed they didn't have one at the Auto Show.
I just went to the San Diego Auto Show today...sat in a CTS-V as well as the C63...the interior of the C63 was crap compared to the V...it's only saving grace: the seats...they have the most ridiculously extreme side bolstering I've ever seen...but they fit me like a glove so it had something going for it. What was funny was that the V was surrounded by people and the C63 was all alone in the back corner of MB's area.
Did anyone catch the recent Top Gear episode where they drive American muscles cars out west? Jeremy had a ZR1, James had a CTS-V, and Hammond drove the new Challenger. The CTS-V is a beast!
Quite amusing as usual... but if you watched the episode, you would know that it was NOT supposed to be amusing, as mandated by the U.S. Dept of State.
