Default 2009 Lexus IS

Here are some "BEFORE" and "AFTER" pics of the IS250/350.

Any thoughts?

Might be hard to dictate from the pictures vs real life, but I can barely tell a difference, not that I expected one. The design has aged well.

I agree...Lexus did well with the IS. They added side markers to the side mirrors...also LEDs to the rear lights and it looks like they changed the design very slightly on the tail lamps. The rims are different too. As for the front...the bottom air dam is a tad different. But mostly, the changes are cosmetic.

I can barely see the difference. The main difference I see is the LED tail lights.

They look pretty much the same to me, except the LED lights. But then again, this model is still pretty new.

I had an '01 IS300 and just drove a loaner IS250 (wife's RX was getting serviced). It's actually a pretty damn impressive car. It rides good, shifts good, overall it just feels good. I'm sure it's not the sports sedan the 3 series is, but for a daily driver, it was pretty nice. The motor was a bit weak on power, but it was very smooth and more than adequate for a commuter.

Overall, I was more impressed than I thought I would be. The big downside for me was the complete lack of rear seat room. But, if you consider it more of a 2 seater car with emergency room in the back, it is definitely a contender in the segment.
