Okay, I digested it.

I think it looks a bit too finished. It would look nice with dark wheels and a black grille like here:

Hoth, do you think the GMC Terrain is girly? No way, they got the testosterone image down. But I grant you the CR-V.

I would not feel ashamed to be seen in that; the dash looks un-ford like. I'm loving it

I saw some press coverage of the Explorer rollout this morning. I've spent the last 25 years hating Ford and swearing I'd never buy another Ford product. But I must admit that Alan Mulally seems to have turned the turd into something decent. This Explorer looks nice just like the Focus, Fiesta, and Mustang. It's about time they got rid of the body on frame dinosaur and dropped some weight. The tow rating I saw quoted was 5,000 lbs which is plenty for a 20 ft boat or reasonable travel trailer, horse trailer, jet skis, or motorcycles. The new six and ecoboost four are plenty of engine for the way most Explorers get used 99% of the time. Kudos to Ford for using their volume SUV nameplate to wean themselves off the gas guzzling SUV formula of the past. I'm having a harder time hating Ford these days.

Looks great, the last generation was a well made vehicle throughout so I expect this one to be even better.

I think it looks great, esp in white. It has a little Land Rover vibe to it..

I agree, now if they'd just do something about their suspension formula I'd become a customer (on cars where this of course is a part of the formula).

Its funny that this starts at almost the same price as a 2011 GT 5.0. I wonder if it will be possible to get a leftover 2011 at the end of this year with 6MT, 3.73gear, and full leather for 29k. I'd sign now.
