Are you advocating another model to slot between the x1 and x3? j/k

I like it! And it does look (to me, at least) considerably smaller (and prettier) than the X3 (the guy almost looks like he's driving a station wagon).

I like SUV's, but small. The smaller, the better. I don't want to spend money on stuff that I don't need. Give me juuuust enough room to fit all my crap inside, barely enough power and brakes to tow a 22 ft. boat, raise it just enough to de driven on a dirt road safely, and make it grabby enough not to spin its wheels on a boat ramp and I'm happy.

And why does BMW need yet another SUV besides the X3/5/6? In this new economy, small luxury SUV's could be the next hot item. Americans never stopped loving their SUV's; sales dropped because of higher gas prices and tighter wallets. BMW might just be the forerunners of a new trend, and they sure won't be the only ones. Lexus, Audi, Cadillac and others are working on similar budget-luxury SUV's.

I like it! I wonder what the interior dimensions are tho, that guy looks like he's squeezed in there pretty tight.

This would be cool to you or I. But who would really buy an M3 wagon in the U.S.

I generally like BMWs, even the 5 series Grand Turismo but that is one ugly car.

I agree with everything you mentioned. I actually like the look of this X1. Like a raised up station wagon, it looks to be a practical little vehicle.
