Default 2015 miles on Z06. Has not self destructed yet!

My 2 month summary.... i suck at writing / typing so suck it up!!!!

So far my car has seen 160+ at least 15 times...high is a little over 180mph (indicated by speedo) and 55mph in reverse a handful of times just for fun. I have probably done 20 tire spinning starts and 1 big burnout for the guys at a local turkey place. I am going to take it drag racing in August but so far it has not been to any tracks.

Anyway...... The car is very easy to drive daily other than being somewhat hard to get out of. The door sill is pretty wide and the car is obviously fairly low, but i am *only* 39 so I can just take some pain medicine...

The only problems / complaints have been that the starter sometimes turns the car over 3-4-5 times when it is warm and then the car fires up.... kind of odd... not enough to take it in..... the transmission makes funny noises but so would I if I had 500+ hp running through me.

I raced a buddy in his 510rwhp 2003 Cobra mustang (pully, tune, ported blower, etc..) and beat him every time that we raced from 20-140. I didn't beat him by much but still won. He did beat me when we both started in 2nd gear at 30mph but he has shorter gears so that was a no brainer.

I tried to get some Volks for it but they have to be special ordered and that is usually 3-4-XX months so **** that...

O ya... i have been averaging about 16mpg with 60% city 40% highway driving. I have not taken it on any trip further than 15 miles.

That is my stupid report. I still like the car. i have grown to get used to the 500+ hp though so now even in 1st gear i don't get excited any more....

There are not many cars that can beat this car in acceleration / etc... so i will most likely keep it for a while...

I find this to be significantly more impressive than the 180mph top speed going forward. Does the speedometer actually read when you're in reverse? I don't think I've ever thought to check how fast I was going in reverse.

I was watching one of those Power Block shows on Speed the other day and they were doing a turbo install on a base C6 (using that turbo kit that has the turbos back by the exhaust). You could probably toss one of those on there to bring back that "new car feel" again.
