That is pretty cool and all, but after reading a long-term update on Car and Driver's C7 Stingray a few months ago I just can't get excited about a Corvette. Among many other things the engine crapped itself at 6,000 miles, and yes, all of the issues were covered by warranty - but if I were to spend that much money on a fun car I don't want those types of things in the back of my mind when I am behind the wheel. Nor do I have time to battle getting the car to and from the dealer for a bunch of BS fixes.

Pass.

I have 36,000 miles on my zdave87's 14 C7 vert. I have replaced the water pump and a headlight, both under warranty. That's it.
Fixed that for you.

Hope the two tone interior is just an option. I don't know how people think two tone plastic looks anything but juvenile. Considering its usually 40+ year old men driving this that would really just be a bit embarrassing.

The blue/black interior is a special edition. You don't have to get blue and the additional coloring is typically (in other Vettes) indicative of a higher trim level. If you can get a 1LT Grand Sport, the interior will be fairly universal in color (seats and a few pieces could have contrasting colors) and then the additional colored pieces increase with each trim level (2LT, 3LT).

Yep. C7 interiors are tasteful. Good ergonomics. Lots of of color options. It's possible to make one goofy but you don't have to.

No, based on the Corvette Forum, C7 General Discussion chatter, about average. I talk to C7 owners every day.

That's cool. I've seen three different instances, one in a publication (Car and Driver) and two other people I know that have had tons of warranty claims with C6/C7 Vettes. You can have it. Enjoy yours, I will never own one.

Your choice, but by and large since the C5, Vettes have been pretty damn reliable overall. Sure, there are always flukes and freak production issues and also USER ERROR that breaks stuff, but the reason I have purchased 3 new Vettes to date and will likely purchase more in the future is that they have been good to me. They have been reliable, durable, fun, and a great performance value for the money. They don't sell in large numbers by accident. They hit a sweet spot on the performance/coolness/price/fun continuum and I hope GM keeps doing a good job on them.

See Car and Driver just voted the new Camaro SS better overall than the BMW M4 in a compare test? GM is doing some really good stuff nowadays: Corvette, Camaro, CTS-V, ATS-V, Escalade, their trucks, etc. They've really stepped up their game.

I just rented a '14 or '15 Tahoe (the new body style) from Enterprise for a big road trip this past weekend. I put 1,200 miles on it over 4 days and it already have 51,000!!! miles on it and the thing was rock solid. Not one squeak, rattle, weird sound, etc. It ran like a top. Color me impressed as 51,000 rental car miles are not exactly easy. Thing had New Jersey plates on it too and it was here in Texas. I'm sure that Tahoe had some stories to tell. haha.

The build quality on my C7 is great. I have no complaints after 2 years and 36,000 miles. ".... three different instances, one in a publication (Car and Driver) and two other people I know that have had tons of warranty claims with C6/C7 Vettes" isn't zip. I can tell you from reading about and talking to many hundreds of C7 owners in some detail that the consensus is that the C7 is very reliable.
