It's amazing how heavy that carpet and rubber pad is covering the engine. I guess that's the majority of the sound isolation from the engine bay to the cabin.

After 3 years, I'm about to open up the engine compartment for the first time... accessory belt needs replacing. Just ordered a set of spark plugs too, I'll be doing those soon. That should be the real test for working on a mid-engined car.

It's not too bad, just make sure you buy the Porsche trim tools.

Also, you'll be changing the spark plugs through the rear wheel wells, not via the engine compartment.

How hard is it, to work on the engine? Can most maintenance be done from the top?

Thanks!

(Track novice warning - I am not fast...)
This clip is I think from my 2nd track day at Homestead. Notice that I'm keeping it simple and only using 3rd and 4th, when there are a few slow corners where I could be in 2nd. I really need an ext mic for the GoPro, all you get is wind noise...

Here's a clip of one of my buddies driving it for the first time. I think this was a 3rd gear pull merging on the highway.

Might be able to pull up some autoX vids too...stay tuned.
