Default 350z inspired from Alfa Romeo?

Anyone ever see an Alfa Romeo Giuletta SZ 1960 model year? It looks exactly like a 350z does. Well not exactly but I'd bet money the designers where inspired
by this car. The alfa even has a "Z" above the sidemarker. Crazy!

I dunno. They don't anything like each other. For one thing, the 350Z was designed after a Dutch wooden shoe. That Alfa was designed after an American jelly bean.

I've always thought the 350Z looked undercooked somehow.

A lot of companies bite the Alfa styling. Just look at the Integra grill... There's a couple of other clear examples the are escaping my memory though.

Alfa is a pioneer in engineering and design, one of the firsts for aluminium engines, hemi, etc...

Yup. Alfa has always been a pioneer amongst car designers....not so much the in house design team, but the choices they make by letting companies such as Pininfarina and Zagato do the work for them.

Actually the 350z relied heavily on a 911'a design....not in terms of package design, but rather the exterior visual presence. My former boss (lego studios) was very close friends of the 350z designer (a british fellow working for Renault). I saw some copies of his sketches and marker renderings....shape was the same, but details compeltely different.
