350Z vs S2000 and Video
WOW! Where the heck was I when all this 350Z vs. S2000 was going on damn. Here's my deal I have owned 2 S2000's traded in the 1st one for the 2nd and on my 2nd S2000 my clutch went bad so I installed a ACT PP, ACT 6puck, Toda FLYW, and AEM CIA. I now drive a 350Z track with just CIA, and titanium muffler (replaced the stock). I will say I love both cars, but with both cars being stock and with the mods I have did (The 350Z is a tick faster I promise you guy's). Not only that but 1 thing that I really noticed is my 350Z with just those 2 mods gets down really hard now from 100--158 I have not took it past 158 yet but it still was pulling a little at 158 my guess it would have topped out in 5th at no more then 165 and this was on a mild night no wind with just those 2 mods oh yeah I upgraded the rear tires to Toyo T1-S 275-40-18 from stock bridgestone 245-40-18 RE040 got a nail in the stock tire sidewall and it couldn't be patch. Well hope this helps. I still love both cars even miss the S some times but now I go just a tick quicker and have carbon fiber driveshaft, brembo brakes, rear lip & front lip, tire pressure monitor system all of these which come stock on the track model also have a navigation system with the 6 air bag package 3 air bags on each side.

In the video above the 350Z has less HP then the US spec. one we get and the S2000 has more HP then the one we get from what I understand.

Great video. I've never seen it before.
Too bad the S2000 guy got blocked out by the Skyline most of the time. It's a shame he messed up on that turn too. Video has some nice footage though.

The Skyline PIG was blocking the stook for more than half the race. The M3 only got around the S2 due to a huge error on behalf of the stook and the M3 handled loose like a goose in the twisties. The M3 is a sedan like grandpa mobile built around an awsome engine that deserves a chassis like the S2K to live in.
I have a copy of that DVD. I used to own a 350Z when I bought the DVD. After I traded it in for S2000 I watched it again. Z, as you can see in the battle, pulls away in the straights (100 + torque difference), then S2000 closes in at corners (200 pounds difference). I loved my Z and miss it (don't get as many stares now) but had a major tranny problem that irritated me. One test drive was all I needed to make change to S2k.
