Have you driven an Si? The power delivery, engine characteristics, shifter feel, suspension, etc etc etc are all very similar to the S2000.

Please don't tell me about the STI, I own one. The shifter feel is crud compared to the S, power delivery is somewhat similar, although I would not agree with your point there either.

The RX-8 is the closes thing to an S2000 in nearly every category. The STI is a total different class. Not to mention it is less fun to drive, horrendously ugly (yeah, I'll admit to it), and fat, even though it hides it well - that car is still heavy. Nothing close to the joys of an S2000.

In short, there is a reason the STI is the daily practical beater car and the S is the pleasurable weekend car. But then again, this may just be me. I'm sure others have their own opinion

Civic SI isn't a contender, because power is being delivered by the wrong wheels, period. The driving dynamics would be different, plus it's just plain wrong. I would have never bought the S2k if it was FWD, no matter how good looking it was or how fast it could go.

In other words, you could show me the hottest chick on the planet, smoking hot, but as soon as you mention that she happens to have a penis, I'm out. The driving dynamics would be different, plus it's just plain wrong.

+1 for the RX-8. Or an e36 M3 vert.

I think what he's saying is that we all make more of the fwd vs rwd argument than its worth.
Gee, think of the money you could have saved by buying a used del Sol instead of an S2000

[QUOTE=bat711,Sep 16 2006, 03:33 AM] Are there any sedans available that can provide a similar experience to an S2000?
