YAY! Give us heavier cars! You can't make them too heavy for us!

Should make a nice boulevard cruiser, but it's way too heavy to be taken seriously as a sports car substitue.

You want a $50k BMW convertible sports car? Z4M. You want a $50k BMW top-down cruiser? 335Ci.

welcome to the global marketplace
I later edited my post and said I didn't realize it was for all their models. I thought from the OP it was only for the 335. It sounded like I was supposed to be looking at a 335 and saw a 320, hence my query. That still doesn't explain why it's on crooked!
I'm not a fan of 2+2 verts.
I really prefer a small 2-seat roadster if I had to go topless, otherwise I'd rather have a nice sedan or coupe.
Not to say they are bad cars, but cuting the roof of and adding a folding HT to raise the curbweight 400 lbs with a higher center of gravity, less tortional ridigity and costing another $8K is not my cup of tea.
These hardtop verts are probably great for most people who can't have 2 separate cars, so can have a sporty vert and coupe all in one. But (IMO) they have too many compromises cost, weight etc.

Eh? 400lbs heavier than what? The coupe? Obviously. It's much faster/more powerful than the last version.

I was complaining about the weight, nothing else. Would I kick it out of my driveway? No. Would I prefer that companies started trimming weight (or at least keeping additions low)? Absolutely.
Look what they did with the Miata redesign and weight control - THAT is what I'm talking about.
